Grace Kelley, Wynonna Judd’s daughter, has been arrested twice in almost four months.
Court documents acquired by Us Weekly reveal that Kelley, 28, was taken into custody in Carroll County, Georgia, on Saturday, August 3. The charges include three misdemeanors: fleeing or attempting to evade an officer, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and improper use of motorcycle equipment.
According to police records, Kelley, the 60-year-old daughter of Judd and her first husband, Arch Kelley III, was arrested in the Carroll County Jail and held there for one day. She was given a $2,750 bond and freed.
Us revealed at the beginning of April that Kelley was jailed in Alabama for allegedly flashing motorists off the road, which led to the arrest.
She faced accusations of indecent exposure, soliciting prostitution, and impeding governmental operations, according to the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office. (Kelly and Judd have not responded to the accusations or the purported encounter.)
Kelley’s accusation of soliciting for prostitution was eventually dropped, according to the Daily Mail. In the meantime, a charge of indecent exposure—which she acknowledged—was lowered to obscene behavior. 200 was Kelley’s fine, with 90 days of jail time deferred.
She acknowledged that she had interfered with government officials. She received a $500 fine and a 90-day prison sentence with 30 days suspended.
She has no means to pay the fine or bond, her court-appointed counsel stated to the publication at the time. If the money was paid and I filed an application with the judge, she might have a chance to be set free.
In March 2022, Kelley gave birth to her daughter Kaliyah Chanel outside of the court system.
Judd gave a rare interview to Us Weekly, sharing an insight into her relationship with her granddaughter.
She told Us in June that “we’ve started singing together.” “Eating ice cream while sitting on the porch with her is my favorite thing in the world. “Noni, where are you going?” she asks, as she sits in the rocker. What are you doing, Noni? It was during those moments that I understood you can never be as happy with money.
It doesn’t work the way I thought it would. Before going to bed, I would lie in bed with her and sing to her while she pressed her nose against mine. She would then begin to sing back, and it would be like heaven on earth.
“The greatest thing I can tell her is that she’s loved unconditionally,” continued Judd. I want her to realize that she is worthy of the best.
Although Judd has not publicly discussed her daughter’s recent legal issues, she did say, “My daughter is the strongest Judd woman in our ‘herstory,'” to the host during an appearance on Fox Nation‘s The Pursuit! with John Rich in February 2020.
Elijah, a 30-year-old son named after the country singer’s great, great, great grandpa, is also a child of Judd and her ex-husband.
