After being away for months, Amber Portwood’s birthday dreams were fulfilled when she was reunited with her daughter Leah.
Amber, 34, was asked over for a family BBQ by Gary Shirley and his wife, Kristina Shirley, on Thursday, August 22nd, when Teen Mom: The Next Chapter aired.
Gary, 37, said to costars Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell, “It’s been seven months,” referring to the interval between Amber and her daughter’s last meaningful moment. Watchers of recent Teen Mom seasons have seen Amber’s tense relationship with Leah. Gary stated that his daughter had shown interest in getting adopted by her stepmother in an episode from July.
Us Weekly was then informed by a source that this “would never happen on Amber’s watch.”
From Amber’s point of view, she makes unsuccessful attempts to get in touch and arrange some quality time.
“I think I’m disturbing them,” she said to Maci and Catelynn. “I’d asked her if we could go on a date.
