Jazz Jennings is happy that she has lost over 100 pounds.
“Nearly 100 pounds lighter two years later!” Jennings, 23, wrote a caption for her Instagram photo on Monday, August 26. “I want to express my gratitude to my family, friends, and all those who helped me along the way.
I’m extremely happy of my progress! Being in good health requires ongoing effort rather than a diploma you can flaunt! Even if I can still do better, I feel more inspired and driven than I have in a long time. Let’s continue it!
With the caption, Jennings demonstrated her enhanced physical abilities and included a video of herself jogging and performing a wall sit from two years ago to the present.
She said over the video, “I’m proud of my progress towards better health, but I’m still running towards more goals!”
Throughout her weight reduction journey, Jennings has kept her fans informed. She revealed in January that she had lost seventy pounds. Jennings posted on Instagram at the time, stating, “Feeling happier and healthier than I’ve been in years.”
“Although I have a long way to go, I’m thrilled to be making the required progress in improving my mind, body, and spirit.”
Jennings disclosed in June 2021 that she suffered from binge eating. She posted on Instagram, “As many of you have noticed, I have gained a substantial amount of weight over the past few years.”
“In less than two years, my bingeing and the increased appetite I get from some of my medications have caused me to gain almost 100 pounds.”
She went on, “I’ve been saying I’m ready to turn over a new leaf, but I’m running out of trees now. I’m ready to change my ways. I’m prepared to take charge and make adjustments that will improve my physical and mental well-being.
Although I have an amazing support system consisting of friends, family, and experts, I must ultimately be the one dedicated to improving myself. I am aware of my ability to reduce my weight.
In November 2021, Jennings revealed that she has been struggling with both physical and mental health problems since 2019. This was during an episode of her TLC docuseries, I Am Jazz. (In light of her mental health issues, Jennings disclosed that she would be taking “a break” before enrolling at Harvard University in 2019.)
She said, “I can’t do so many things with my body that I used to be able to do because of all this extra weight.” “My family does shame me for my weight. I’m terribly embarrassed by it.
In the subsequent month, Jennings declared herself prepared to shed several pounds. “I genuinely think I’m attractive in every shape and size. I adore my physique in its current form. In a December 2021 episode, she stated, “But I will say that I am trying to lose weight for health reasons.”
“I have to feel well as well, and some of the items I have been consuming have not made me feel well. I’m really trying to lose weight so I can feel better about myself and be more of who I am.
After coming out as transgender in public, her youth was chronicled in the I Am Jazz series, which debuted in 2015. Jazz had surgery to confirm her gender four years later.
