Barcelona needed patience, control and a late burst of quality to overcome a stubborn Osasuna side at the Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday. As reported by Reuters, two late goals from Raphinha secured a 2-0 LaLiga win that strengthened Barça’s grip on the top of the table.
Yamal leads the tempo as barça dominate
From the opening minutes, Barcelona dictated the rhythm. The hosts monopolised possession and pinned Osasuna deep in their own half. Yet clear chances were rare at first. Osasuna’s five-man defence stayed compact, while goalkeeper Sergio Herrera repeatedly denied Barcelona’s forwards.

Raphinha unlocks the defence
The second half followed a similar pattern. Barcelona kept pressing, Osasuna kept resisting. Marcus Rashford tested Herrera from a free kick, while Yamal continued to probe with energy and confidence. Still, the breakthrough refused to come.
That changed in the 70th minute. Pedri found space between the lines and slid a precise pass into Raphinha’s path. The Brazilian took one touch and fired a powerful shot from the edge of the box into the corner, finally breaking Osasuna’s resistance.
Osasuna pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but that only opened space. With four minutes left, Jules Kounde’s cross deflected into the area, and Raphinha arrived unmarked at the far post to volley home his second goal.
The win keeps Barcelona seven points clear at the top, with Real Madrid still holding a game in hand. More than the scoreline, the performance underlined Barcelona’s depth and maturity. While Raphinha provided the goals, Yamal’s influence throughout the match showed why he continues to be central to Hansi Flick’s attacking plans.
