Willow, Pink’s Daughter, Joined Her on Stage to Perform “What About Us” During the DNC

Willow, Pink’s daughter, is demonstrating that an apple doesn’t fall very far from a tree.

During Thursday, August 22, the mother-daughter team gave a moving performance of Pink’s famous song “What About Us?” at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

During the political event, Willow, 13, and Pink, 44, both appeared on stage together wearing similar black outfits. The audience was illuminated with a pink light.

Willow, whose real name is Alecia Moore and whom Pink shares with her husband Carey Hart, has previously been involved in her well-known mother’s musical career.

The young person worked as a paid member of Pink’s entourage during her 2024 Summer Carnival tour.

Willow, though, has subsequently made the decision to forgo her mother’s tour in order to follow her own theatrical ambitions.

Pink opened up on Instagram about Willow quitting her tour, saying that she was “proud” of her daughter for choosing to follow her own path.

The performances this past weekend were Willow’s final few on tour before she takes a break to pursue her aspirations. I made a vow not to cry. I did not, however, swear that I would not pass out during our embrace,” Pink said.

“I’m quite proud, but it’s crazy to watch your kids grow up and become independent of you. Each and every one of us is. I will really miss you.

“You have your own lane and you want to be in it and I love that for you,” Pink said to her daughter in the video that was made public.

In addition to Willow, who was born in 2011, Pink and Hart also have a 7-year-old son named Jameson. After getting married in 2006, Pink and Hart parted ways in 2008, but in 2009 they decided to call it quits and get back together.

Although Pink frequently travels with her family on her tours, the “So What?” singer stated in 2023 on The Drew Barrymore Show that she wants to ensure her children don’t lose out on their childhoods due to her career.

I told Willow, ‘I know you have things that you want to do,’ and we have a terrific relationship. We talk about practically anything,” Pink stated.

Pink continued by describing an emotional chat she had with Willow in which she informed her daughter that her children will always come first in her work.

Although her job is important to her, the singer informed Willow that it “doesn’t mean that it means more than your childhood, or what you mean to me.”

If necessary, Pink said, “I’ll walk away tomorrow.” Tomorrow, if that is what you desire, I will leave.
