Created by René Echevarria and Travis Beacham, Carnival Row is an American neo-noir fantasy series. It was inspired by Beacham’s unmade film treatment for A Killing on Carnival Row. Orlando Bloom, Cara Delevingne, Simon McBurney, Tamzin Merchant, David Gyasi, Andrew Gower, Karla Crome, Arty Froushan, Indira Varma, and Jared Harris are all featured in the episode. In the series, a detective investigates crimes while dealing with mythical beings that have been forced to become refugees in modern civilization.
On August 30, 2019, the whole first season of Carnival Row released on Amazon Prime Video. As of this writing (July 2019), Amazon has officially renewed Carnival Row for a second and final season, set to premiere on February 17, 2023.
The release date, cast, plot, and trailers for Season 2 of Carnival Row are all included here. Please note that we will revise this post as additional details regarding the upcoming season become available on Amazon Prime Video.
Carnival Row Season 2 Release Date
Due to low ratings and low viewership, Amazon has decided to cancel “Carnival Row” after only two seasons. The series’ third and final season will premiere in early 2023. The second season premiere will be on February 17, and new episodes will be available every week after that.
The season will consist of 10 parts. This year’s premiere of “Carnival Row” season one occurred on Amazon in August. An additional season was ordered in July of that year, far before the premiere. Although Amazon doesn’t share audience data, critics were split on the show. Overall, 57% of fans and critics alike enjoyed the first season.

Carnival Row Season 2 Plot
Although Season 2 of Carnival Row has not yet had an official synopsis posted by Amazon, it is unclear what the overarching mystery or driving force will be. The effects of segregation on the Burgue and its residents, however, seem like they might be explored in Season 2.
The first season follows Philo as he investigates a string of brutal murders and eventually learns that the Darkasher, a frightening monster created from the flesh of the dead, is responsible.
In the last episodes of the season, chaos reigns in the Burgue after the authorities separate the Fae and other supernatural entities from “normal” humans. When Philo reveals that he is half-Fae, Vignette’s initial reluctance to stay with him is replaced by compassion. Is it really over for love?
