After a two-year wait, Alice in Borderland’s second season is now available on Netflix, and it’s better than ever. After those eight riveting episodes concluded, though, viewers were left wondering if there would be any more.
Season 2 of Alice in Borderland has Arisu and Usagi joining forces with both returning and new characters to take on the Face Card people of the Borderland. There are a lot of deaths, some new alliances, and a huge, show-changing bombshell at the finale. Now lets know every information about season 3.
About the Series of Alice in Borderland
Haro Aso wrote and drew the Japanese manga series Alice in Borderland, which is called (Imawa no Kuni no Arisu in Japanese). It was first published in Shogakukan’s shnen manga magazine Shnen Sunday S from November 2010 to March 2015. From April 2015 to March 2016, it was published in Weekly Shnen Sunday.
Its chapters were put together in 18 volumes of tankbon. A three-part original video animation (OVA) of Alice in Borderland came out from October 2014 to February 2015. In December 2020, a live-action series made by Netflix and directed by Shinsuke Sat started airing all over the world.
Release Date of 3rd Season of Alice in Borderland
There has been speculation that a third season of Alice in Borderland is in the works, but no confirmation either way has been made. Because there is so much more to this story, we are naturally optimistic.
Season two followed season one by slightly over two years, and both seasons were made available to fans in December. But that doesn’t always mean we should start planning for Christmas 2024.
It’s feasible that Season 3 will debut on the streaming site as early as December 2023, despite the two-year delay caused by the pandemic.
We might be stretching the definition of “early” a bit, but a year is still quite a while in the film industry, and if you want truly jaw-dropping production values, you shouldn’t rush things.
Plot of 3rd Season of Alice in Borderland
If next season is anything like the current one, we believe Arisu and company are in for a rude awakening. Despite having entered what they thought was “the real world” in the season finale, the revelation of the joker card reveals they are actually nowhere near it.
It’s possible that all of the competitors are inhabiting a virtual reality setting similar to the one in which Arisu found himself in the series finale. That hallucination led Arisu to believe he was in a mental institution and that the games were all in his head.
With Usagi’s help, he was able to escape that mental snare, but they might have fallen into another had they decided not to move into the game.
By doing so, they risk being sucked into a new game before they’re ready, from which they’ll have to escape. That’s going to be tough for a team that has no recollection of their previous games or their teammates’ names and roles.

The players have advanced to the face cards level, which means the cards have gotten progressively more challenging, intense, and severe, with the Joker potentially being the cruellest of them all.
If it takes the traits of its name ‘joker,’ the gamemasters may continue to manipulate Arisu’s wounded group through a series of nefarious tricks and manipulations.
Regarding the gamemasters, Arisu and company’s victories resulted in the demise of the current face-card gamemasters, who were revealed to be former gamers who had become ‘citizens’.
After winning the last face-card game, the players had the option of becoming citizens or declining the offer and accepting whatever fate threw at them (their pseudo-reality as it turned out).
New characters Banda (Hayato Isomura) and Yaba (Katsuya Maiguma) opted to continue in the game under less perilous conditions, which indicates they might be the gamemasters for season three.

Has Netflix Announced a Third Season of Alice in Borderland?
A third season has not been confirmed just yet, but the show has just just premiered. There’s a good chance Alice in Borderland will return for a third season if the show is popular with viewers and places in the top 10 of international ratings.
Two weeks after the first season premiered, Netflix picked it up for a second run. That would suggest that an announcement about the show’s future would come in January of 2023. Hold tight!
Who Will Return for Season Three of Alice in Borderland?
Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) will be featured heavily in the upcoming third season when they are thrust into the real world. At least in their perceptions of reality.
Here’s hope we get to see more of Kuina (Aya Asahina), Ann (Ayaka Miyoshi), Aguni (Sho Aoyagi), and Akane (Yuri Tsunematsu), who were all nearly killed by the King of Spades but managed to escape and refuse to accept permanent residency in the Borderlands.
Chishiya (Nijirô Murakami) and Niragi (Dori Sakurada) also made it out of season 2 alive (how did Niragi do that!? ), it is assumed that they will return should a third season be produced. They denied residency as well.
Banda (Hayato Isomura) and Yaba (Katsuta Maiguma), who participated in the Jack of Hearts game with Chishiya, also survived but chose to remain permanent Borderland residents. It is unknown whether they will return, however they may appear in another game capacity.
After sacrificing himself so that the squad might defeat the King of Clubs, Tatta is tragically and irretrievably deceased. And given that all Face Cards have been vanquished, none of them will return. (RIP Mira, you devious queen!)
