Morbius is a 2022 American superhero film produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel. It’s Sony’s third Spider-Man picture (SSU).

By November 2017, Sazama and Sharpless had a script, and Leto and Espinosa joined. End-of-the-year casting preceded London production in February 2019. Filming ended in June 2019, with reshoots in February.

Morbius premiered in Mexico City on March 10, 2022, and was distributed in the U.S. on April 1, 2022, after being delayed numerous times from July 2020 owing to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Critics panned its script, visual effects, and post-credits scenes, but praised Smith’s acting. The picture grossed $167 million globally. Due to negative reactions, it spawned internet memes.
