Recap of Season 2 of Mob Psycho 100
The second season concluded with all-out psychic combat between Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama and Toichiro Suzuki, the head of the espers-based terrorist group Claw. Mob at 100% was able to trade blows with Suzuki but ultimately conceded defeat when the leader’s abilities exploded.
Mob demonstrated mercy to Suzuki by accompanying him and confining the explosion within his own body as Suzuki self-destructed. Mob survived the explosion and was brought by Sho, Suzuki’s son, to the Body Improvement Club room, their temporary resting place since their homes had been damaged.
The next day, city dwellers discovered a gigantic piece of broccoli, dubbed the Divine Tree, blooming from the battle’s ruins. The broccoli originated from Mob, who carried broccoli seeds in his pocket.
Taking Mob’s comments to heart, Suzuki acknowledged his wrongdoing and was arrested by Joseph, a government-hired esper. Before leaving the scene, Suzuki apologized to Sho for his mother’s treatment. Sho reassured him by stating that she still considers him a priority.
Mob and Reigen also relocated to a new office location and welcomed former Claw member Katsuya Serizawa as Spirits and Such Consultation’s third employee.
What Will the Third Season of Mob Psycho 100 Be About?
The trailer for Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 shows that the powerful esper is on a journey to learn more about himself.
Mob is now having to deal with the stress of trying to figure out what he wants to do when he’s done with school. Reigen tries to get him to work at the office full-time by telling him it’s his calling.
Unintentionally, the middle schooler becomes the face of a new Psycho-helmet cult that worships the Divine Tree. The cult, which has more than 580,000 followers, wants to follow people with magical powers.
Now that Suzuki is in jail, there is a new threat to the city, and it could come from Mob’s friends.
In one part of the trailer, Mob tells the spirit Ekubo to “stop trying to be bad,” which suggests that the two might have a fight in Season 3. Ekubo also talks about his “one and only command,” which could mean he has a hidden agenda.
