Travis Scott and Live Nation Settle With Two Astroworld Families!

The wrongful death claims filed by the relatives of two individuals whose deaths were caused by the tragic events that took place at Astroworld in 2021 have been resolved.

At the event that rapper Travis Scott headlined on November 5 in Houston, Texas, there was a significant crowd surge that resulted in the deaths of ten individuals and injuries to hundreds more.

Both parties agreed to keep the terms of the settlements between them confidential.

Attorney Tony Buzbee made the announcement on Wednesday that the family of Axel Acosta, who was 21 years old at the time of his death, had settled the lawsuit that they had filed against more than 20 defendants, including Scott and Live Nation, which was the promoter of the festival.

“Axel Acosta was a well-liked son, brother, and student who will be much missed. He possessed a gentle and compassionate nature. His presence is sorely missed. We ask that you continue to pray for him and his family

“Buzbee stated in a statement.
Acosta, who was majoring in computer science at Western Washington University, had gone all the way to Houston by himself in order to take part in the event. The authorities initially had a difficult time identifying him and posted a photo of him in the hopes of receiving assistance from the general public.

According to KTRK-reporting, TV’s family of 16-year-old Brianna Rodriguez has also reached a settlement in their lawsuit. According to the documents filed with the court, the Rodriguez family’s claim against the defendant’s Live Nation, Scott, and others was settled on July 22.

The family of Brianna has characterized their late daughter in the past as a student at a high school in Houston who was very passionate about dancing.

“Brianna Rodriguez’s parents, her complete and extended family, her friends, and her classmates at Heights High School all had a tremendous amount of affection for her, and she is sorely missed by all of them. The memory of Brianna will continue to live on in those whose lives she changed as well as through the charitable organization known as Dancing Through Bri. This organization has been established to give scholarships to young dancers and athletes who are planning to attend college “In a statement released on Thursday, attorneys

Robin Blanchette and Troy Williams, who represent Rodriguez’s family, said the following:

On Thursday, Ted Anastasiou, a spokeswoman for Scott, issued a statement to The Associated Press in which he relayed the news that no members of Scott’s staff were involved in the conversations regarding the settlement of the complaint.
When Scott, whose name is Jacques Bermon Webster,

took the stage to finish up the 2021 Astroworld Music Festival, the crowd was already densely packed with fans who were hoping to catch a glimpse of the main performer. Scott’s real name is Jacques Bermon Webster.

Throughout the day, a good number of them managed to get into the venue. According to the local authorities, there were 50,000 people in attendance at the event in Houston. After reports of people pushing their way through the crowd, over 300 people were treated at an on-site field hospital at NRG Park, and at least 13 people were hospitalized as a result.

However, Scott has stated on multiple occasions that he was unaware of how dire the situation was in the crowd from his vantage point on stage and that he did not learn how bad things got until after his set had concluded. Scott was criticized for not stopping the show despite the fact that he was aware of how dire the situation was in the crowd.

Ezra Blount, who was only 9 years old at the time of the disaster, was the youngest person to perish in it. The ages of the other victims ranged from 14 to 27, and a significant number of them were included in the lawsuits that were submitted in the days following the disaster.
