When will “Ant-Man 3” come out? Scott Lang surely didn’t expect to be fighting insane CEOs, molecularly unstable superspies, and alien armies led by Thanos when he found Hank Pym’s old Ant-Man suit. However, in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Scott and Hope van Dyne embark on their greatest (or tiniest) journey to date.
Clearly, Ant-Man 3 will follow the lead of Captain Marvel, the first science fiction film of Marvel’s Phase 5, and plunge into the multiverse, alternate timelines, and other worlds. The Quantum Realm, a smaller universe lying right before our eyes, was only touched on briefly in the preceding films. Despite the fact that Hank Pym has already rescued his long-lost love, Janet Van Dyne, from this odd new reality, it appears that our favorite miniature MCU heroes will investigate it more in the forthcoming sequel.
But the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania is about what? To what extent does this include whom? How about a teaser? Who is the bad guy here? Please don’t fret. To bring you the latest information on when Ant-Man 3 will be in theaters, we’ve gone to extremes to get to the Quantum Realm.
You are at the right place to know more about Ant-Man 3.
When Will Ant-man 3 Be Available to the Public?
The release date of the third Ant-Man film is set for July 28, 2023. It’s the beginning of a brand new era for the franchise, and the first episode of Phase 5.
The sequel’s release date has previously been pushed back from 2022 to 2023 and then forward to 2023 in July. Considering the (ongoing) shake-up in Hollywood caused by the pandemic, this is not entirely unexpected.

But until then, there will be plenty of other Marvel films and TV shows on Disney Plus to keep fans satisfied. It’s worth noting that 2023 will also see the releases of James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Nia DaCosta’s The Marvels. Fans will not be left wanting for Marvel material in the interim before the sequel’s release.
The Cast of Ant-man 3
Evangeline Lilly will return as Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp, and Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, in Ant-Man 3. It has also been reported that Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer will reprise their roles as the retiring heroes Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne.
The news that Randall Park will return as Jimmy Woo was announced at D23.
Oddly enough, Bill Murray himself may have leaked the news of his potential appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. According to Variety (link opens in new tab), Murray falsely claimed to be a part of the picture before being persuaded to join by director Peyton Reed.
Kathryn Newton, who starred in Detective Pikachu, has joined the cast to play Scott Lang’s daughter, Cassie. She is taking over for both Abby Ryder Forston, who played a younger version of Cassie in the first two Ant-Man films, and Emma Fuhrmann, who performed the role for a brief cameo in Avengers: Endgame.
Corey Stoll is expected to reprise his role as Darren Cross/Yellowjacket, and Lovecraft Country’s Jonathan Majors has been cast as Kang the Conqueror.
Ant-man 3 Storyline Rumors
Reportedly discussed at D23 was the connection between Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Rudd is said to have remarked that the movie’s minor characters are given more substantial roles than in previous installments.
The plot of Ant-Man 3 has not been officially confirmed by Marvel, but we can make some educated guesses based on the title. Considering the title, “Quantumania,” it’s safe to assume that the quantum domain, where characters like Kang and Yellowjacket operate, will play a significant role in the film.
Fans have theorized that hints of Kang’s existence were dropped during the movie’s quantum world sequences. It has been speculated that the metropolis shown in the background at one moment is Chronopolis, which has ties to multiple incarnations of Kang in his comic book history.
Yellowjacket’s reappearance is theoretically possible in the quantum world as well. Although the way he shrank was extremely violent and potentially fatal, Cross would have been trapped in the quantum realm alongside Janet and Scott if he had survived.

Time travel has become a staple of the MCU, and the existence of a time-traveling villain suggests that it may play a role in this film. It would open the door for the resurrection of previously deceased characters like Cross and could even wind up having some sort of connection to the upcoming Loki Disney Plus series. Several connections to other properties are essential to making the MCU what it is.
Trailer for “Ant-man 3”
There’s a chance we’ll hear about more details now that filming is over, but given the film’s 2023 release date, it’ll be a while before we see anything resembling a trailer. The movie’s logo and cast members’ tweets will have to do for now.
