Fantasy Island is back for another season, and people who stay at the luxury resort will once again get to live out some of their wildest dreams.
Roselyn Sanchez is back as Elena Roarke, who is a descendant of Mr. Roarke from the first Fantasy Island. The reboot is based on the idea of the 1970s show. Each week, a new guest star with their own emotional problems will appear on the show. At the end of each episode, these characters hope to have found some kind of inner peace. Even so, that doesn’t always happen.
Here’s what we know about season 2 of Fantasy Island.
Fantasy Island Season 2 Plot
We’re about to talk about things that happened in the first season of Fantasy Island, so keep reading if you haven’t seen it yet. Fox says this about the original plot of the show that is being brought back:
“Fantasy Island is a modern drama series that takes place at a luxury resort where guests’ every wish is granted, even if they don’t always go as planned. Each episode will ask the big and small “what if” questions that keep us up at night and tell emotional, thought-provoking stories about people who come to Fantasy Island with hopes and dreams and leave changed and wiser because of it.”
Fans of the show will remember that at the end of season 1, Ruby Akuda (Kiara Barnes) ran into her husband Mel (Adain Bradley) on the island while he was in between life and death. After the couple spent a very emotional 24 hours together, Mel fades away into “eternity.” Once her husband is gone, it’s clear that Ruby is Elena Roarke’s (Roselyn Sanchez) second-in-command.
When it comes to Elena, the finale shows that she was once ready to leave the island with her fiancé. At the time, she was going to leave and let the mysterious Fernando take her place, but the island didn’t like him very much and attacked him. So, she decided to stay on the island. But Fernando didn’t like her decision, and he felt bad that he wouldn’t be in charge anymore.
