The famous South Korean pop band EXO main singer Chen(Kim Jong- Dae) and his wife are all set to welcome their second child. On November 16 Chen’s agency SM Entertainment confirmed this news that Chen’s wife is pregnant with their second child. Fans and Chen’s teammates congratulated them for this news but at this time Chen was not with his wife and attending military service for the South Korean Military.
Chen’s real name is Kim Jong-Dae, he made his debut in 2012 with EXO, which released a “Mama” in both Korean and Chinese languages. He is mainly known for his role as the main vocalist of EXO. He had recorded for many tv shows like “Best of Luck” for It’s Okay, “Every time” for Descendants of the Sun. And singed fantastic songs like Monster, The Eve, Growl, Paper cut, XOXO, Ko Ko Bop, Love Shot, Tempo, Call Me Baby, and more. He also sang songs in albums like The War, Ex’act, Exodus, OBSESSION, Dear my dear, Universe, and more fantastic albums. In 2019 Chen debuted as a solo singer with the extended play April, and a Flower which peaked at number two in South Korea’s Gaon Album Chart and spawned the hit single Beautiful Goodbye. He was awarded as Best OST by a Male Artist and at Best OST Song at the 5th so-loved awards. And in 2020 he was awarded as 2020 Korean First Brand Award. Till now in his career, he got two to three for each song which he had singed for EXO and other tv shows also.
On January 13 Chen had secretly married his non-celebrity girlfriend and after that, my girl’s heart get broken but they soon accepted his changed status. Many of his fans were angry with him but soon they also accept his changed status (married). And in April(20 April 2021)of that year, the couple welcomed their first child. His teammates and fans Congratulated them on their first child. Chen also wrote that he firstly discussed with SM Entertainment management and his teammates before sharing the news publicly. And then on social media, Chen hinted that his finance is pregnant when he mentioned a blessing came his way in his handwritten letter. After this news, SM Entertainment confirmed this news that Chen married his non-celebrity girlfriend and she gave birth to a baby girl and Chen becomes a father now. And this year on 29 April 2021 recently they celebrated their daughter’s first birthday at a hotel in Seoul, South Korea.
Currently, Chen had gone for compulsory military service when his wife is pregnant. He was 4th EXO member to enlist in military service. He had gone there with his three friends Baekyun, Chanyeol, Suho. And there he got his new hairstyle also. He will discharge in February or April of 2022. In South Korea able-bodied males from the age of 18 to 28 are compulsory have to join the military service for almost 2 years and this is the law of the South Korean Government. He was excited to see his finance (wife) and his one-year-old daughter after he gets discharged from his military service.
