“I was like, ‘I believe I’m going to share it,'” he stated later on Instagram Live. “‘Really?’ she exclaimed.” ‘Do you realize what happens when you do that?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, sure. Mom, I do. Yes, I do.’ Then I texted Maddie, asking her, ‘What do you think?’ “She said, ‘I don’t care.'”
Cline, for her part, said that she was apprehensive to make their relationship public so shortly after the debut of “Outer Banks.”
“The show coming out was already a very large life shift, and we were also just starting the entire quarantine procedure, and that’s a massive life change, and going through a global pandemic,” she said in November 2020 on “Entertainment Tonight.” “I guess we simply wanted to give it a little more time and relish while it was still fresh and new, and then keep it to ourselves.”
The actress, on the other hand, remarked that she and Stokes eventually recognized they were “terrible liars.”
During their relationship, Stokes and Cline collaborated on several projects, including “Outer Banks.” They also appeared in a video for the song for Kygo’s remix of Donna Summer’s “Hot Stuff,” which was released in September 2020.
