Mariah Carey, the soul of Christmas, has just declared that it is officially the Christmas season.
Mariah Carey has emerged from her slumber now that Halloween has passed. The “Queen of Christmas” came to Instagram on Monday to commemorate the end of the Halloween season and the unofficial beginning of the merry one. Halloween is all about dunzo. Mariah Carey ushered in the new season with a video in which she asserted her right to the whole Christmas season. And as Christmas approaches on the calendar, Mariah’s influence gets greater. Carey released a video of herself breaking a pumpkin and politely smiling around midnight on November 1st. Mariah Carey has demolished Halloween; long live Christmas.
After all, it is November 1st, which officially marks the beginning of the most delightful season of the year. And Mariah has clearly been at the forefront of the holiday season since the release of “All I Want for Christmas” 27 years ago. And like other years, even this year, she’s not wasting any time in removing the spooky celebrations to make room for the Christmassy atmosphere.
She shared a video on Instagram as the clock hit midnight, heralding the end of Halloween with the caption that read “Are you prepared? The short video began with a Halloween tableau of candles, tombstones, and gourds arranged in front of three pumpkins carved with the words “It’s Not Time,”

In the video, Mariah herself is standing at a front door while the beginning of her iconic Christmas song “All I Want For Christmas Is You” plays in the background. The 5-time Grammy winner carries a large cane and a seductive grin on her face as she opens up the door and steps out and onto the porch. The front of the home is decorated with carved pumpkins, which appears to annoy the star singer, as she starts beating the Jack-o-lanterns with her cane. “It’s tiiiiime!” exclaims the singer, gleefully destroying the “Not” pumpkin with gusto.
dangling an ornament and provided a brief view of a wrapped package with the date November 5 scrawled on it, which the Lambily interpreted as the Christmas Queen going to drop something merry on Friday. The clip concluded with the words: “It’s time!!! To break that pumpkin and turn it into pie… because we still have Thanksgiving to go through!!!”
What did she wear to the demolition? Mariah looked stunning in a full-length glittering cherry-red gown and matching red shoes. Her bat also was covered in red-and-white festive striped papers, which was the icing on the cake.
Mariah has a lot to be thankful for every year, aside from the gifts beneath her tree. After all, she was presented with three Guinness World Records at her Christmas concert in Las Vegas in 2019.
That year, she broke the Billboard individual artist record for the highest-charting Christmas single on the Hot 100. She has by far the most streams on Spotify in 24 hours and broke the world record for the most weeks in the UK singles Top 10 chart for a Christmas tune.
Carey and Christmas, however, have been synonymous since the release of her 1994 album “Merry Christmas,” which has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide. She has also used similar videos to herald the start of the Christmas season in previous years. Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, an Apple TV+ film, broadened the “Honey” singer’s seasonal repertoire last year. The show featured cameos by Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg, Bette Midler, and Billy Eichner, who played Santa’s secretary.
