Andie Macdowell, the 63year-old famous American actress, and model have got the chance to share the screen with her daughter Margaret Qualley for the limited Netflix series ‘Maid’. Andie Macdowell began her career with modeling with L’Oreal and Calvin Klein Inc. and soon became famous around the 80s and 90s, with her first recognized film among the audience was the 1989 movie ‘Sex, Lies and Videotape’. She’s one of the popular actors in the Hollywood industry. In 1986, Andie Macdowell married Paul Qualley, they had a son and 2 daughters named Justin Qualley, Rainey Qualley, and Margaret Qualley. Both of the sisters have followed the path of their mother’s steps towards the acting career and both of them have done many movies already.
However, the buzz is going on about the mother-daughter duo on screen for Andie Macdowell and Margaret Qualley. As they have been cast on the upcoming Netflix series titled ‘Maid’. The series is inspired by 2019s Stephanie Land’s best-selling memoir, Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive. The series is supposed to be miniseries created by Molly Smith Metzler who is also an executive producer here along with other celebrities like John Wells, Erin Jontow, Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Brett Hedblom, and Land. As reported, Andie Macdowell will play the on-screen mother of Alex, who’s an artist dealing with mental illness and lots of romances. Margaret Qualley who is the lead character of the series, and playing the role of Alex who’s a single mother coming out from an abusive relationship with her on-screen daughter character Maddy. Margaret shared her expression after getting such a role that will be a tackle but good for her career and also sharing the screen with real-life mother is exciting for her. Margaret also said it was her idea to act with her mother on the role. She shared that Andie was diagnosed with schizophrenia right after got pregnant with Margaret which somehow had a deep effect on Andie but still, she expressed how she enjoyed the role and how the role kept chasing men to make her character feel valued.
The series characters Paula and Alex show a great bond on-screen with Alex’s daughter Maddy as well. Margaret shares that how they would go shopping together and cook for her mother to make her feel cozy and safe before they actually do such scenes on-screen. Both of them had a blast acting with each other and surely giving us a great performance that we are looking forward to watching eagerly. The miniseries is said to premiere officially on 1st October 2021 on Netflix with the first episode titled’ Dollar Store’. Andie Macdowell has recently appeared in the movie ‘Ready or Not’ and ‘ Four Weddings and a Funeral miniseries’ whereas Margaret Qualley earned her first Emmy nod for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series for Fosse/Verdon.
