Eleonora Buratto, one of the best Italian Soprano as she is profoundly praised lyric sopranos in the world. She posted on Instagram one day ago announcing due to some health issues she was forced to take the break from her all performances from October 2021. There have been no details uncovered about her health problems yet but we hope she recovers soon and restart her work for the fans. She took Instagram to follow up on the performances she did till now with the fans that it was her fourth and last performance for this month of Falstaff at the Wiener Staatsoper. She explained by captioning her concerns for the audience with a picture of her performing at Wiener Staatsoper.
She was supposed to perform at Teatro del Regio in Parma, Italy for the Verdi Gala and also at the Bayerische Staatsoper as Alice in Falstaff, Munich, Germany. It has been reported due to her break from the shows, the Teatro Regio di Parma already founded a replacement in Maria Agresta whereas the Bayerische Staatsoper has yet to announce the replacement for a new Alice. Eleonora Buratto also gave a follow-up about the end of this year performances that will be conducted by Maestro Nicola Luisotti at Teatro real de Madrid, Spain for La bohème as Mimì. This performance is supposed to take place from 12th December 2021 to 4th January 2022. Along with that, she is also set to return next year Spring 2022 to the Metropolitan Opera in New York to perform “Madama Butterfly” and “La Bohème.”
Eleonora Buratto started her career in 2009 by performing as Creusa in Demofoonte at the Salzburg Festival, Opéra Garnier, and the Ravenna Festival which was conducted by Riccardo Muti. And since then she started singing and performing under various conductors and directors in several places. In 2016 she made her debut in the signature roles such as Mimì at The Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Elettra in Idomeneo at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Donna Anna at the Aix-en-Provence Festiva. She routinely returned to some of the theaters like Teatro Real in Madrid, Liceu in Barcelona, Lyric Opera in Chicago, Dutch National Opera, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Metropolitan Opera and the Royal Opera House. And also she enjoys performing in various festivals in different roles. In January and March 2021 she sang as Fiordiligi in Così fan Tutte performing at Teatro Alla Scala, streamed on Raiplay. By the summer of 2021, she debuts as Aida under the baton of Muti at the Arena di Verona Opera Festival and as Anaï in Moïse et Pharaon at the Rossini Opera Festival. It has been also reported that she is singing in the Verdi Requiem conducted by Daniele Gatti at the Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia. With all the performances she gained love and affection from the fans and the audience is always eager to listen and view her as a Soprano in different roles.
