‘Top Gun’ the first original movie was released in 1986 starring Tom Cruise and directed by Tony Scott. The movie got its success with time and made it popular among the audience with good reviews from fans and mixed reviews from critics. The first film talks about the character Pilot Maverick played by Tom Cruise joined the Top Gun Naval Fighter Weapons School for advanced training and eventually, his reckless attitude gets him into a problem with other pilots but he was there to compete to become the top pilot and also get attention from his instructor character Charlie. Quite a synopsis, but people who have watched, reviewed it as one of the essential movies then you should probably check the first one before running towards the sequel movie titled ‘Top Gun: Maverick‘.
One of the anticipated movie sequels of Tom cruise that got delayed for almost three years now. The sequel story continues with Maverick after becoming one of the Navy’s top aviators but to look forward to his future with new pilots he has to get over his past and to know more we have to watch the movie which got delayed again!
The first release of the sequel was supposed to come out back in 2019 but for some issues, it got postponed and the news came for the Top Gun: Maverick release date in this year 2021 but Tom Cruise’s other movie ‘Mission Impossible 7’ was supposed to come out this year as well but the studio thought it might get clash so they postponed ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ towards 2022. And of course due to the covid situation most of the movies getting their backlash kinda. So the Paramount Pictures reported the movie sequel ” Top Gun: Maverick” will premiere on 27th May 2022. And coming with that “Mission Impossible 7′ also got delayed to 30th September 2022 due to the spike of the covid situation around the world.
Top Gun: Maverick reported to have one of the favorite characters of the fans, Goose’s son Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw will be played by Miles Teller. It also has been reported that Tom Cruise’s bodyguard’s BMW got stolen and the car contained one of the copies of ‘Top Gun: maverick’ but it was recovered as confirmed by the news otherwise the movie could have got its another postpone date. Along with that due to all the delays and the whole current situation Paramount teased the first 13th minutes of Top Gun: Maverick at CinemaCon already. So now all we can do is wait for next year for the movie.
As many movies like the Top Gun: Maverick release date getting postponed to next year, other major movies are gonna hit the theater this year 2021. Few names are ‘Dune’ (Oct 1st), ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ (Oct 18th), ‘Ghostbuster: Afterlife'( Nov 19th), ‘No Time To Die'(Oct 18), ‘Eternals’ (Nov 5th), ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home'(Dec 17th). The audience can look forward to these movies while waiting for other major movies to come out next year.
