The FCC ID on the device is located at the back pointing out the fact that the device does not possess a screen. Also the device supports and works on both WiFi and Bluetooth. The device also supports a USB connection which clearly reveals that the new device is a Chromecast.

The equipment under test document from FCC reveals that the device is a wireless streaming device of Google. The power supply is listed to be USB 5V which is a standard, everyday USB port. It has a frequency of 2.4 GHz and has a Peak Antenna Gain of 2.13.

The sole job of Chromecast is to plug into your TV or monitor from your phone or computer by using an HDMI port and thus helps stream content on a bigger screen. The HDMI port is a High-Definition Multimedia Interface is a proprietary audio/video interface for transmitting uncompressed video data and compressed or uncompressed digital audio data from an HDMI-compliant source.
