Call Of Duty 2021 Reported To Have The World War II Setting And An IW8 Engine Technology

Call of Duty first appeared in 2003 with its original World War II settings and fans loved it. This setting has always been admired by fans, even today fans love the World War II settings.

Earlier Call of Duty introduced the Cold War settings to its old game which was the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. But this year the company Activision Blizzard who is behind the design of Call of Duty has decided to include the old beloved World War II settings in the game.

Sledgehammer Games who is one of the developers of the game is on its way to work on a World War II setting for the game. It is rumored that the new game will be titled Call of Duty: Vanguard but it hasn’t been officially confirmed by developers. It is also rumored that the game will be made available for PS 4, PS 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. This too has not been confirmed by officials.

The new Call of Duty 2021 game will be powered by the Modern Warfare and Warzones ‘ IW8 engine. This engine will help pair up projects faster and give a more seamless experience to users while playing. It is a highly upgraded version of the IW engine with much-improved lighting, physics, graphics, etc. It also has a new sound engine, Photogrammetry, Ray tracing support for PC via NVIDIA RTX graphics cards, New renderer, and a DirectX 12 API.

It might get released during the holiday season which will be during the end of the year. These rumors have not been confirmed by any officials but the latter one was kind of confirmed by Activision in its last earnings call but wasn’t explicitly stated.

Sources have guessed that the new game will include the World War II settings as a boss from Activision confirmed that the game will include a setting that the fans love and admire. There are totally two settings that are loved by fans which include the Cold war and the World War settings. The Cold War setting has already been applied to the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, its most recent game. The only settings left is the World War setting which is rumored to be included in the new Call of Duty release.

Activision said that this particular release will be an incredible one and the most awaited related of all because it includes the most adored setting of all as well as includes a live ops schedule. These live ops are called live operations and basically refer to any change in the mobile app that is made while the game is live rather than releasing an updated version of the entire app.

It is confirmed that if this new game release is set in World War II then the Call of Duty: Warzone will also be set in World War II. This is confirmed on the basis of last year where Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War had a Cold War setting and then Call of Duty: Warzone also got a Cold War setting. So it might happen this year too.

All these updates and new features and settings are all rumors so it’s important for the readers to take them lightly. All these rumors are unofficial and estimated by sources based on the information they have. So it is advised to lower down their expectations.

If anything is confirmed it would be explicitly stated by Activision.
