Bill and Melinda Gates were married for 27 years that means since 1993 but now they will be officially divorced. Their divorce is officially approved by the King country court in Washington state this Monday i.e Yesterday.
It is to be noted that they filed a divorce petition in May this year. The divorce petition was filed in the court stating that the couple’s relationship was irretrievably broken. Here irretrievably means impossible to regain or recover. So they decided that divorce will be the final option. There was a court meeting yesterday and in that meeting, finally, the divorce was approved

The official statement given was that they don’t think that they can grow as a couple anymore in the next phases of their life . The age difference was never an issue between them and most probably it is not an issue now also, a difference of opinion is the main issue. The divorce paperwork is finalized on Monday, Melinda will not change her name after divorce and she will remain Melinda Gate for the rest of her life. Both of them agreed on not changing their names.
They told that they worked a lot on building a healthy relationship. They took this decision after a lot of work on our relationship, but sadly nothing worked out for them. They both decided that if after two years they don’t wanna continue their roles. French Gates will resign and finally step down.
