So coming back to the topic of today’s article, Xiaomi Corporation which is registered in Asia as Xiaomi Inc., is a Chinese multinational electronics company founded in April 2010 and headquartered in Beijing. As we all know, Xiaomi makes and invests in smartphones, mobile apps, laptops, home appliances, bags, shoes, consumer electronics, and many other products. Xiaomi had released its first smartphone in August 2011 and rapidly gained market share in China to become the country’s largest smartphone company in 2014. At the start of the second quarter of 2018, Xiaomi was the world’s fourth-largest smartphone manufacturer, leading in both the largest market, China, and the second-largest market, India. Xiaomi later developed a wider range of consumer electronics, including a smart home (IoT) product ecosystem, which has connected more than 100 million smart devices and appliances. So it has nicely paved its way through into the smartphone industry giving a pretty tough competition to the giant companies too and this competition is good otherwise there will be no motivation for the company owners to develop new things. Not only that but the users will also enjoy the availability of so many options plus new features to explore.

So the recent rumors suggest that there will be three models of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5. Two models, which are named the Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro, will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset. Both will support 67W fast charging for their 8,750 mAh batteries. But the difference is that the Pro model will have 5G connectivity and will feature a 48 MP camera on the rear whereas the Mi Pad 5 will be a Wi-Fi-only tablet with a 12 MP camera. Although all three tablets are said to use the same 10.9” IPS LCD with 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate. The expected resolution is 2,560 x 1,600 px. The display should also support a stylus with 4,096 levels of pressure.

This was about the two models only, so what is different about the third model, which is named the Mi Pad 5 Lite, which will use the older Snapdragon 860 chipset and will also be a Wi-Fi-only slate. The rumors also claim that it will support 33W fast charging and that is supported by data from the 3C. Interestingly, all three tablets will run MIUI 12.5 out of the box, missing out on MIUI 13, which is expected in August. The tablets themselves are also expected in August. It is also rumored that there will also be another fourth model which is the potential Redmi tablet, which will be powered by a Snapdragon 768G chipset and it might support 22.5W charging, till now there is nothing else known about this model. So let us wait for some other official news from the company itself.
