This lockdown has surely made our lives utterly boring and miserable and to be honest it has been over a year now that we are stuck in our homes doing nothing other than working or studying that is also by just sitting in front of our laptops or desktop computers. We need entertainment in our lives otherwise you don’t really feel like doing anything and just become lazy. I mean the entertainment industry is doing a great job by providing us with various new series and movies to watch and not only that but many people are now adapting to new things like maybe developing a new skill or learning to do something in a more in-depth manner or maybe even having an altogether new experience. In addition to that, the video game industry is also developing new games to keep us hooked on and help us in removing this boredom and gives us a break from the monotonous and boring routine which we follow almost every day of our lives.
One of the video games which has become very famous is Destiny 2 which is a free-to-play online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie. It was originally released as a pay-to-play game in 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows platforms. But then later it became free-to-play, utilizing the games as a service model, under the New Light title on October 1, 2019, followed by the game’s release on Stadia the following month, and then the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms in November 2020. The game is set in a “mythic science fiction” world, not only that but the game features a multiplayer “shared-world” environment with elements of role-playing games. Players assume the role of a Guardian, protectors of Earth’s last safe city as they wield a power called Light to protect humanity from different alien races and combat the looming threat of the Darkness.
So now new news brings in that many fans of the video game Destiny 2 expansions will be arriving soon to Xbox Game Pass for PC in the next season and this news has completely left all the gamers and the fans of this game completely mind-blown and are definitely excited for this expansion. This was known to us when the official Twitter page of DestinyNews+ tweeted that ‘In this new image, one of the players has a Windows icon, hinting at #Destiny2’s release with Xbox Game Pass for PC next season. Xbox has said that they are working with Bungie “to bring Destiny 2 Expansions with Xbox Game Pass for PC later in 2021”, so now fans believe that this represents the user playing from Xbox Game Pass for PC, a subscription service that allows users to play any game on the catalog without purchasing the game itself. Destiny 2‘s paid expansions are currently only available for console users of the Game Pass service. So now with this appearance of that Windows icon and it’s now also the latter half of 2021 not only that but it’s likely that Destiny 2 expansions could soon be available for PC subscribers of Xbox Game Pass.
But as nothing is completely sure right now, let us all hope for the best and receive some official news from the developer company itself till then keep your fingers crossed and hope that the rumors become true.
