Demon Slayer, The Manga Series After Getting An Anime And A Movie Adaptation Is All Set Towards A Game Adaptation

Demon Slayer the manga series which was released in 2016, was called Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. It was a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. This manga series is about a young teenager called Tanjiro Kamado who goes on to become a demon slayer, a demon killer. He lost his family due to the demons and his sister Nezuko was turned into a demon. This storyline is quite interesting. 

This manga series was first published in the Weekly Shonen Jump and it became the bestseller in Japan after One Piece and My Hero Academia.  Then the manga had an anime adaptation which was equally loved by the fans and it too skyrocketed and became a hit in 2020. In 2021 the manga series got a movie adaptation that broke records in North America despite the R ratings and even though covid was going on.

There is good news for the fans of this manga series. The series due to its amazing plot will be adapted into a game this October. Earlier it had a movie adaptation and now it will have a game adaptation. 

This game will be titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles. The game is all set to release on October 15th via Steam. This game is expected to follow the storyline of two episodes and it will be a single-player game. The two episodes include ‘Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc’  and ‘Mugen Train Arc’ as reported by the Playstation blog.

The developers of this game are the ones who developed  Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and Azura’s Wrath fame. All three games were developed by CyberConnect2. This company has also created many Naruto games which are very famous not only among the youths but are loved by adults too.

The gameplay goes about  Tanjiro Kamado fighting with the demons and beating the heck out of them. You can select and play with other characters from the series as well. Different characters will have their own abilities and you can choose whichever you like the most. 

Tanjiro Kamado is famous for his fighting skills and other basic abilities such as having high controllability. While other characters have their own fighting styles like Zenitsu having a speed that can be used to make continuous attacks on the demons and Inosuke having high offensive abilities and has great charging skills.

Fighting will be the main goal of the game and it’s all the game has to offer. There will not be an RPG outing in the game. It’s not a role-playing game, it only includes fighting and destroying the demons. The fans should not get sad about this and be pleased as the game is launching very soon on October 15th.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a fighter game published by Sega. In the game, players need to form a team where they choose two characters. They can play either online or in the local multiplayer mode. It was earlier quite questionable whether the game would get an English mode release or not. But Sega came to the rescue and has announced the release of an English model for the game on October 15th. The Japanese mode release of the game will be on 14th October.
