Huawei users, this article is definitely going to bring in good news for you as Huawei had announced a couple of days before about its new nova 8i smartphone. This is very much important for the Southeast Asian company as Huawei certainly is losing some appeal in the smartphone market due to the lack of recent releases and going through a rough patch. But the company is trying to prepare a comeback now that it has released its own HarmonyOS software. Meanwhile, we haven’t been seeing many smartphone releases, but rumors suggest that the company will unveil its Huawei P50 series in the near future. And for those who are desperately waiting for a new Huawei smartphone, as mentioned above it was announced a few days ago that Huawei is bringing a brand new smartphone Huawei Nova 8i.
Now let us take a look at the few specs of this brand new phone. Why don’t we? An official-looking render of the brand new Huawei phone had appeared online, with the courtesy of Playfuldroid, which was showing a part of the back design. And as expected by many people, the phone adopts a Mate 30 Pro-like look with a circular camera module carrying four shooters and an LED flash positioned next to it. Although the render didn’t come from an official source, it looks to be part of an official promo. But the only difference it seems to have is that the back glass looks more curved than usual and the side frame is pretty thin too. The volume rocker and the power button, which most certainly doubles as a fingerprint reader too, are placed on the right side next to each other. The color shown in the official-looking render is the Moonlight Silver which leaves the rumored Starry Black and Interstellar Blue colors for the phone a mystery for now. On top of that, the front design also remains unknown, but according to the reports, it is said that this brand new phone will be drilling a hole for the placement of the front-facing camera in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Most reports and tech guides have judged by the premium look of this smartphone, that with this new phone Huawei is planning to go for a Full HD+ display. It will probably be an LCD, after all, the side-mounted fingerprint scanner has become very common especially with these kinds of displays nowadays. But an alternative of that would be Huawei chooses to follow the footsteps of Xiaomi’s with its Redmi Note 10 series that didn’t go for in-display fingerprint scanners even with an AMOLED display. It has been rumored that there will be a high refresh rate of at least 90 Hz and not only that but this latest device will likely come with EMUI 11 based on Android 11. And it will obviously have the HarmonyOS software which is developed by Huawei itself.
Well now with Huawei also launching its new phone it is definitely going in for a tough fight especially with Samsung already in with 2 of its brand new phones namely the Samsung Galaxy A22 and Samsung Galaxy M32 so it is going to be a really tough competition as Huawei hasn’t released much on the specs of its new phone whereas Samsung has but now let’s see whether one of them win or is it a draw between the two as nothing can be decided from beforehand as we don’t know much about Huawei nova 8i.
