Shailene Woodley Will Star In Comedy Project “Robots” Along With Jack Whitehall
Shailene Diann Woodley who doesn’t know this American actress maybe not all of you will recognize her by name but by her face, I am sure that every one of you knows her. The interesting thing is that she is also an activist. She first began modeling at the age of four and he gradually began acting professionally in minor television roles. But she first gained prominence for her starring role as Amy Juergens in the ABC Family drama series The Secret Life of the American Teenager. And after that Shailene had movies one after the other starting with The Descendants in 2011, and went on to star in the coming-of-age film The Spectacular Now in 2013. And then her major breakthrough movie which gave her a wider recognition for her starring role as a teenaged cancer patient in the romantic drama The Fault in Our Stars in 2014 and also for the role of Beatrice Prior in the science-fiction trilogy The Divergent Series from 2014to 2016and many more movies. Not only that but alongside her roles in various genres of movies she has also achieved a lot of awards. So it would be extremely shocking to know that some person doesn’t know Shailene Diann Woodley. To add on she is also an environmental activist and has served as a board member of the political action committee Our Revolution. Now that is interesting. Recent news states that she will be a co-star with Jack Whitehall in the comedy film Robots, which comes from Borat writer Anthony Hines. So that is pretty exciting news for you all. I am sure you all would love to see more of Shailene on the big screen.
So now what exactly is this new movie all about? Well, the screenplay is penned in a way that will portray how a womanizer and a gold digger learn about humanity only when they are both forced to team up together and pursue the robot doubles of themselves, who have apparently fallen in love and ran away together. That surely is an interesting screenplay after all it is co-directed by Oscar-nominated writer Anthony Hines and Casper Christensen. Whereas Rocket Science is handling international sales during the Virtual Cannes Market, while CAA Media Finance is co-representing the film’s domestic distribution rights with Cassian Elwes’ Elevated who is producing with Stephen Hamel at Company Films. The production is said to begin in August in New Mexico as per the reports.
The most interesting part is that Shailene Woodley will be replacing Emma Roberts who was originally starred for the role and was supposed to play alongside Jack Whitehall but due to some reason, Emma left the cast and Shailene came in place of her which definitely made Anthony Hines very happy as he even said that ‘At a time when comedies are needed more than ever, I couldn’t be more delighted than to have Shailene and Jack team up to play the leads in this movie. So now with so much good news let’s just hope that even amidst this covid pandemic situation they can begin with their production safely and we can watch this movie in the theaters on the big screen with friends and family instead of staying in and watching it while sitting at home. As soon as things normalize it’s better for all of us.
