Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash Smashed The Japanese Box Office On Its Opening Day, Collected 190 Million Yens
Gundam is a Japanese military science fiction media franchise. Created by Yoshiyuki Tomino and Sunrise, the franchise features giant robots, or mecha, with the name “Gundam”. It earns 190 million yen on its first day at the box office. After delayed three-time finally now you can see. Due to covid-19, it suffers lots of cancelation it was originally slated to open in Japan in July 2020, it was delayed in April from May 7 to May 21, and was then delayed again last month due to the expected state of emergency declared in Japan. The current state of emergency is scheduled to last until June 20. And then finally the film’s limited edition Blu-ray Disc went on sale on June 11. The film has released on 11 June 2021. A three-part theatrical film adaptation was formally announced by Sunrise as part of the “UC NexT 0100” project.
The story turns around Hathaway Noa, who now moves by the name Mufti Nabiyy Erin, as he begins a terrorist group to stop the violations of the Earth Federation. The novel is notable for being the only semi-canonical Gundam work by Tomino.
It has based on the great concept which is liked by all people. However, it was different from the Anime known up until then. It had a very serious, political, and anti-war message. There are so many people who are fans since its first series. So many people who share that why it’s my favorite, some of them said Gundam has attempted to deal with many social issues facing the world and use it to develop the main character. One of the issues I like in particular is how it looks at youth growing up and accept responsibilities.
Some of the also reason behind it which makes it’s popular like It is relatively new, so the graphics and animation are great. The plot is not bad. Gundams vs the World. Who doesn’t like those odds? It takes place in a somewhat plausible world loosely related to real-life events. The Gundam Mobile Suits are interesting particularly Gundam Exia and Gundam Virtue IMO. Other pretty suits such as the Flag Series. Some of the action scenes are great. There are not too many characters, so each character gets developed particularly the four main pilots. The voice acting in the Japanese version is great. It becomes bonkers in the second season.
It has also so many qualities that make it like this much popularity like it collects 190 million yen on the first day. It is a huge thing and also the big thing is that they use such type of technology which make it unique. They use unique weapons and techniques on each Gundam., not only beam rifle and beam saber. The most noticeable attacks are Bakunetsu God Finger and Sekiha Tenkyoken from God Gundam (Well, he’s the main guy). Of course, you’ll find any interesting skills like beam hula hoop attack or Shaolin-style kungfu attack, etc.
The film was basically planned to play in 214 theaters, a franchise-record high. Some cinemas are screening the film in 4D and Dolby Cinema. Dolby Cinemas are also choosing the first 15 minutes and 53 seconds of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack before the film.
