Krafton Limited, the South Korean video game developer of PUBG Mobile, announced on Thursday that it will bring back the popular gaming title to India under the brand name Battlegrounds Mobile India, the company said in its press release. One of the most popular publishers of free-to-play games for mobile devices, Glu Mobile will launch its newest game, a “AAA multiplayer” title called Blitz Brigade. It is expected to be the most inclusive mobile game ever, with over 1000 hours of gameplay in the first year alone.
PUBG Mobile India pre-registration begins before the game is launched in the country, according to a developer. The game has been customized for India and not PUBG as it is tailored for the second largest internet market in the world.’Battlegrounds Mobile’ will follow a staggered launch this year, with the game set to hit global markets ahead of its India debut, Krafton said. Krafton is committed to collaborating with partners who want to tap into the growing esports market in India with Krafton’s own commitment that will see it keep its users entertained in-game. At launch, Krafton will bring India-focused in-game events and content to its users. Further details will be announced at a later date.
