In this world, some people have created their own legacy and left a mark on people’s minds. Elon Musk is one of those humans who has created one of the best businesses in the world. Not only is Elon Musk the CEO of two major companies and one of the richest people in the world, but he’s also going to appear on Saturday Night Live.
Musk is set to appear in front of people on May 8 following his recent success. According to Forbes magazine, Tesla’s stock is worth nearly six times more than it was before the pandemic started, leaving Musk with an estimated fortune of $177 billion. And SpaceX just launched a mission that sent astronauts to the International Space Station. Saturday Night Live often has actors host its show, but Musk is far from a stuffy corporate type. He’s smart, thoughtful, and creative. Musk is known for speaking his mind, and he doesn’t seem like the type of businessman to allow a stint on SNL to go to his head.
He likes to make people laugh on Twitter, where he has 52 million followers and has gotten into legal trouble for making disparaging remarks about critics and hinting that he might lead a buyout of Tesla. He’s known for wearing his heart on his sleeve, tweeting about his feelings, and making jokes that get him into trouble sometimes. He sometimes tweets about people he doesn’t like, and he got into some trouble when he tweeted about the offer to take over as leader of Tesla. Musk also earned the name “Elon Adorbs” when he released a video on Twitter that showed him giving out flamethrowers.
Musk is an incredible choice, to say the least, but some non-actors have hosted in the past. Athletes such as Kerrigan and Lance Armstrong have hosted the show, as have politicians such as Giuliani and Gore. Even presidential candidates such as Trump have hosted in the past. Out of the ordinary guest, choices are not unheard of. In fact, some of the stars that have hosted have been politicians, including Rudy Giuliani and Al Gore.
Elon Musk has narrated Iron Man 2, appeared on Rick and Morty, and been described by Metallica frontman James Hetfield as “a mix between Tony Stark, Johnny Carson, and Willy Wonka”. And with a twinkle in his eyes.
Musk is one of the greatest inventors of our time, but he’s also a great entertainer. He’s made viral headlines with his Tesla electric truck and his snarky rivalry with Mark Zuckerberg. And who hasn’t seen him in The Simpsons or playing himself in Iron Man 2?
Elon has made headlines in his ventures to build reusable rockets and building a tunnel to avoid traffic. The serial entrepreneur also has a great sense of humor. He joked about naming his boring machine “Godot.” In case you didn’t know, that’s the name of a character from Samuel Beckett’s famous play Waiting for Godot. Elon Musk hosting Saturday Night Live is great news for guys who still think ‘that’s what she said’ jokes are funny and think they’d be great at hosting SNL.
