Infinix Hot 10I Appears On FCC; With A Different Model Number And A 6000Mah Battery

Infinix Hot 10i was spotted on Google Play Console, at the beginning of this week. In that list, there were some revealing details regarding the primary specs and the front design of the upcoming handset.

Now, this smartphone is spotted on FCC. The certification reveals the rear design while confirming its battery capacity and speed of charging. The upcoming flagship Infinix Hot 10i became certified as per the FCC standards in later February.

Interestingly, its listing arrived, just a day after reports on Infinix X693’s FCC certifications were made.

As per the listing by FCC, the Infinix HOT 10i will be coming out with a different model number. The model number is ‘X659B’.

There is no mention of the device marketing name in the FCC listing. But some information has been revealed from an automated Google Play Certified Android devices list on GitHub.

It is important to note that the Infinix Hot 10i which was found on Google Play Console has a different model number, which is quite interesting. The model number presented on the google play console is ‘X658B’. Presently, we cannot make any solid claims as we don’t have enough facts or an official confirmation.

Although, there are certain possibilities. The first speculation, suggests that phones are the same but target different markets.

Another reason for different model numbers is obvious, they both are different devices altogether.

These speculations are not based on fragile grounds, assumptions are there for a reason. Because, in the past, Infinix launched a smartphone with the name SMART 5 in India. But instead of the original phone with the same name, it was renamed Infinix HOT 10 Play.

That’s enough of speculations, now let’s move towards specification and see what we have here.

According to FCC, the Infinix Hot 10i (X659B) will provide a classic 5,850mAh battery (rated) with support for 10W charging. Well, we can say that typically the smartphone will feature a 6000mAh battery.

Talking about the rear side design of the device, a squircle camera module is present on the top left corner. A special fingerprint sensor is slightly below it.

Judging by the size of the module, it is anticipated that we can have at least two cameras on the rear side. Additionally, a power button and volume control buttons will be sitting at their place on the right side.

If it is assumed that the Infinix X659B is the same as the Infinix X658B. Then, it is expected that the phone will come with an HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) display with 320 DPI and centered punch-hole, MediaTek Helio A20 SoC, 2GB RAM, and Android 11.

Is Infinix Doing Good In The Smartphone Market?

As per the current state of the Indian Market, Xiaomi, Realme, and Samsung are still the market leaders. But undeniably, Infinix has witnessed growth during the first and second half of 2020. According to Counterpoint Research, 2 years ago Infinix was one of the fastest-growing smartphone producers of India. Still, they’re trying to carry the momentum and by focusing on the customers in the economy segment, a majority of Indian customers lies there.

According to Infinix officials, they’ll try to expand their user base by reaching more people in tier-2 and tier-3 towns.
