It seems the well-known burger chain known as Wataburger has reportedly chosen the Hermitage area for its new Nashville location. Documents submitted to the Metro Planning Commission detailed plans for the restaurant to be opened at 5055 Old Hickory Blvd. This is not far from Interstate 40 where the Applebee’s was once located before it was damaged in a fire. The plant’s restaurant include a new entrance and exit and a longer turn Lane on old Hickory Blvd to accommodate for the increased traffic that the restaurant will no doubt impress upon the area. Council member Kevin Rhoten explained on Facebook the plans were approved for the nearby Panera. The company released a statement to the News 2 in July and states that they are excited to see that so many fans are happy that they are opening a new restaurant. Fans are looking to see this restaurant open in Tennessee as part of the restaurant’s future expansion plan.

“We’re excited to hear we have so many fans in Tennessee and we’re looking to open restaurants here as part of our future expansion plan. At this time, we have no specific plans to announce a restaurant in Nashville but will be happy to share them -and if- the time is right. In the meantime, we’re proud to offer exceptional food and service at our more than 830 locations across 10 states. Wataburger’s signature sauces, grocery products and popular retail items are available for purchase on waterburger.com. We hope our fans will think of us next time they are shopping online.”
