Pokémon Go pays tribute to the animated series in 2020 with a special week long. Pokémon Go is going animate (pardon the pun) in November 2020 to celebrate the series that captured so many imaginations. indeed, though the series has carried on since the 90s and sparked both video and card games it remains key. Any fans of the current games including Pokémon Go got their start with the animated series. Though to be fair the current anime theme week being planned is focusing on the current incarnation of the series. Though not as nostalgic as the original is still what is caught the attention of kids who play Pokémon go.
The Pokémon go animated week won’t actually change the graphics. In other words, you won’t start playing as if you were in the series. However, it will specifically spawn Pokémon that the main characters have caught in the current series. this will also include a special variation of Pikachu wearing the current main characters hat. However, the event will not be limited to Pokémon encounters the wild. In the specific hatching events, you will be able to hatch specific Pokémon including the shiny Cubone. One notable Pokémon appearing in the event that has not been caught in the series is Lugia. This legendary Pokémon is being reinstated for the event as the final encounter of the five-star raids. Additionally, there will be special events during the week that reenact episodes from the current series.
All this and much more will be made available for a limited time in November. Specifically, from November 6 to the 12th of 2020. While many fans walked away from the original series for various reasons such as outgrowing it in some cases. Others grew tired of the constant focus or rather continue using the same main character. Regardless, the series contains and still bring new fans to the franchise eager to catch them all.
