Cable Girls Season 5, Blanca Suarez and Ana Fernandez RETURN in Their Roles for the Final Time

Topics of women empowerment have been prevalent for a long time. Shows and series depicting such concepts become fan favourites as soon as they release. Cable Girls is a series that highlights one such theme. Cable Girls, or Las Chicas del Cable, is a Spanish web television series that features a period drama and telenovela regarding a clique of young girls. The story revolves around Madrid, set in the early 20th century. Ramon Campos and Gema R.Neira are the creators of the show. The sole distributor of the series is Netflix. The first season of eight episodes debuted on April 28, 2017, on Netflix. Season 2 publicised on December 25, 2017, Season 3 on September 7, 2018. The fourth season aired on August 9, 2019, on Netflix as well.

Release Date: Cable Girls Season 5

The fifth season the Cable Girls series circulated a year after season 4 and divvied itself into two parts. The first part of season 5 premiered on February 14, 2020. Part 2 aired on Netflix five months later, on July 3, 2020. Each piece contained five episodes. Thus, the series ended with a ten-episode long season 5.

The main cast includes the recurring roles of Blanca Suarez as Lidia Aguilar Dávila and Ana Fernandez as Carlota Rodríguez de Senillosa as well. Aditionally, we can see Nadia de Santiago in the role of María Inmaculada “Marga” Suárez Pazos plus Yon Gonzales playing Francisco Gómez. Furthermore, Óscar Ruiz is starred by Ana Polvorosa, in addition to Nick Romero featuring Pablo Santos.

Plot: Cable Girls Season 5

Season 5 of the series transpires between the years of 1936 to 1939. Madrid has undergone extensive changes for the war. Lidia returns to Madrid from New York in a search for Sofía. Sofia, on the one hand, tries to join the Republicans in the Spanish Civil War. In contrast, Pablo, on the other hand, attempts to avoid enlisting. Óscar and Carlota jeopardise their careers to help Lidia look for Sofía.

Part 2 of the final season occurs almost seven months after the onset of the Nationalists’ control over Madrid. Lidia gets into a hassle at the prison camp in a distressing endeavour to rescue her captive acquaintance. The lives of Lidia’s loved ones get endangered when Carmen targets them. Lidia ultimately receives help from an unpredicted ally at the prison camp.

Storyline: Cable Girls Series

The story ensues in 1920s Madrid, where a group of young women work at a telecommunications company. The job offers them a reasonable pay, but the women want the independence associated with it. All the women have a different reason for joining the company, and some conceal their identity while doing so. The show highlights the struggles working women had to face in the early 20th century Spain. It also focuses the limelight on the severe constraints such women had to endure while trying to seek independence in a male-oriented society.
