Tidelands Season 2 Release Date, Cast, Plot and More Updates to Know!
What Happened at the End of Tidelands Season 1?
Season 1 of Tidelands concluded with intense violence and an unresolved climax. Adrielle, the Tidelanders’ leader, sought to summon sea sirens using a magical horn, requiring the sacrifice of Cal’s brother, Augie. A confrontation ensued as Cal, being half-siren and half-human, fought to save Augie and thwart Adrielle’s dark ritual.
Adding to the chaos, Stolin, a drug lord eager to witness the sirens, and his men arrived, launching an attack on Adrielle and the Tidelanders.
The ensuing mayhem claimed several lives, including Adrielle, fatally stabbed by Stolin’s henchman, and Dylan, who succumbed to wounds inflicted by Adrielle.
Leandra fell victim to a gunshot from Rosa, while Colton met his demise at Leandra’s hands. Bill also perished, courtesy of Leandra.
In a bid to escape, Cal and Dylan fled with a boat containing a mysterious cargo, but Dylan passed away from his injuries shortly afterward.
Despite her impending demise, Adrielle declared herself the Tidelanders’ queen, proclaiming her intention to lead them to a new land.
Meanwhile, Augie and Bijou, a young Tidelander girl, were left wounded and unconscious on the shore. The sirens, however, remained elusive, leaving uncertainty about the success or failure of Adrielle’s grand plan.
Expected Release Date of Tidelands Season 2
Netflix has yet to officially decide on a second season for Tidelands. Normally, the streaming platform reveals a show’s fate shortly after its release, but it’s been nearly five years since Tidelands premiered, and there’s been no news about its future.
Speculation suggests the show may have quietly been canceled without an official announcement, a situation known as “ghost-canceled.” However, Netflix has neither confirmed nor denied this.
The cast and crew haven’t provided any updates or indications regarding a potential second season. As a result, the chances of Tidelands Season 2 seem slim unless Netflix chooses to revive the series or another network picks it up.
Tidelands Season 2: Cast & Characters

- Madeleine Madden as Violca
- Peter O’Brien as Bill Sentelle
- Jet Tranter as Leandra

Expected Plot of Tidelands Season 2
The inaugural season of Tidelands concluded with a suspenseful turn of events. Cal and Dylan managed to break free from Adrielle’s grasp, embarking on a boat with a mysterious cargo. Simultaneously, Adrielle asserted herself as the Tidelanders’ queen, gearing up to lead them to an undisclosed new territory.
Lamar apprehended Augie and Corey, unveiling his allegiance to Adrielle. Paul and his group launched an assault on the Tidelanders’ compound, facing staunch resistance. Tragically, Leandra killed Colton and Bill, only to be shot by Rosa.
If Tidelands Season 2 were to materialize, it would likely delve into the following unresolved questions:
- What does the boat contain, and where are Cal and Dylan headed?
- What are Adrielle’s intentions for the Tidelanders, and what does the new land signify?
- What fate awaits Augie and Corey, and can they escape Lamar’s clutches?
- How will Paul and his group contend with the Tidelanders, and will they seek retribution for their losses?
- How will Rosa grapple with killing Leandra, and will her loyalty to Adrielle endure?
- How will the broader community respond to the existence of the Tidelanders, and will tensions escalate between humans and hybrids?
