Then, Sophia suggests that Elisabeth go back to her home in Bavaria, and Franz agrees. But before Franz tells Elisabeth to leave, she finally finds out she is pregnant. This makes the Empress very sad, and he decides (how scandalous!) not to tell her husband the news.

But when Elizabeth is ready to leave, a group of angry people who had been gathering outside the palace gates to protest the Emperor stop her. Even though the guards want to turn the carriage around, Elisabeth, in a pretty cool moment, tells them to open the gates. The Empress walks up to the crowd and says, “I see you.” She then tells them she is pregnant.

That’s a pretty crazy way to end the series, and I know people will want to know if her actions will win over her people’s hearts and minds. But I’m curious to know if she can forgive Franz. I also want to know what Sophia has planned for the Empress now that she is pregnant. I’m sure that a second season if Netflix gives it the go-ahead, will answer all of these questions.

Who Will Take Part in  Empress Season 2?

Who could be in a second season? I think most of the show’s cast would be back for a possible second season. That means that Devrim Lingnau, Philip Froissant, Svenja Jung, Raymond Tarabay, Jonathan Failla, Johannes Nussbaum, Almila Bagriacik, Elisa Schlott, Wiebke Puls, Melika Foroutan, and Jordis Triebel would all be back for Season 2. Fans would probably be very happy to hear that all the actors should be back for a new batch of episodes in the not-too-distant future.
