George Floyd’s Daughter Says She Will Sue Kanye West for $250 Million!
The daughter of George Floyd has said that her mother will sue Kanye West for $250 million for his comments about Floyd’s death. Ye, the rapper, falsely claimed in a podcast that Floyd was killed by cops, rather than fentanyl.
Attorney Pat D. Dixon III said in a statement on Tuesday that the purpose of the lawsuit is to “hold Mr. West accountable” for his “flagrant remarks,” calling Kanye’s comments a “repugnant attempt to belittle George Floyd’s life and to profit from his horrible death.”
According to the complaint, West’s “business partners” and “associates” are legally responsible for his “harassment, misappropriation, defamation, and infliction of emotional distress” after reading the comments. Floyd has left everything to Gianna.
“Ultimately, what’s best for the kid must come first. The words made by Kanye West have retraumatized George Floyd’s daughter and have made her environment dangerous and unhealthy “To which Attorney Nuru Witherspoon remarked.
Legal representation for Gianna Washington, Roxie and Floyd’s daughter, was obtained by the Witherspoon Law Group and Dixon & Dixon Attorneys at Law. They shot a warning shot over the bow to West.
“The evidence provided in the criminal and civil cases that followed Mr. Floyd’s premature and horrible death established beyond a reasonable doubt the cause of death. However, you have intentionally created false and baseless claims, hurting Mr. Floyd’s family and estate in the process “the letter, which was obtained by Yahoo!, states.
West mentioned Floyd in an episode of the Drink Champs podcast, when he promoted Candace Owens’s documentary The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM.
“I watched Candace Owens’s documentary about George Floyd. His two roommates once remarked, “They want a tall person like me,” and on the day he passed away, he prayed for eight minutes “This is what the West had to say. “The fentanyl was administered to Floyd. The man’s knee wasn’t actually resting on his neck like that.”
A medical examiner determined that Floyd’s death was the result of a murder. He died from “cardiopulmonary arrest complicated law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression,” according to the autopsy report.
The video that ignited the social justice movement of 2020 shows former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on Floyd’s neck for about nine minutes. Autopsy findings included hypertensive heart disease, fentanyl intoxication, and recent methamphetamine usage as “significant” additional diseases.
Floyd’s sibling may also sue West. Floyd’s family is considering suing West for intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to civil rights attorney Lee Merritt.
Two weeks after his “White Lives Matter” prank, West is just as committed to his beliefs as ever.
