Teddi Mellencamp Was Recently Diagnosed With Stage 2 Melanoma
Teddi Mellencamp has updated her fans on her melanoma scare in the hopes that they will take sun protection seriously.
The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star announced in March that she had a suspected melanoma removed after her former co-star Kyle Richards noticed some concerning discoloration on her back.
On Tuesday, the 41-year-old revealed that during a recent follow-up appointment, her dermatologist diagnosed her with stage 2 melanoma.
“Despite my anxiety, I went in for my 3-month skin check last week because of my previous melanoma.” They told me I had another abnormal spot near my previous one, so they performed a biopsy. “I received the diagnosis of stage 2 melanoma this morning,” she wrote on Instagram.
The mother of four went on to explain that she had seen a dermatologist and that additional spots had been removed for testing and biopsies, and that she would be seeing an oncologist next week to have them all removed.
