American fans of the Freeform sitcom have been left to wonder. If there will ever be Young And Hungry Season 6. In 2014, Freeform debuted the first season of Young And Hungry.

In this San Francisco-based comedy, Emily Osment portrays Gabi Diamond, a gourmet foodie who takes a job as a personal chef for billionaire tech mogul Josh Kaminski. The revelation that Gabi and Josh are obviously in love with each other puts their professional relationship at risk, leading to a passionate one-night stand.

Throughout the next three seasons of Young and Hungry, the star-crossed lovers kept their romance on and off until they ultimately got together in the fifth-season finale.

It is unfortunate that Young and Hungry will not return for a sixth season. The series and its accompanying movie were cancelled by Freeform in March of 2018. The cast and viewers were taken aback by the delay, but given that it spanned both seasons 5A and 5B, the show’s demise was inevitable.

Initially, Freeform said that they will produce a Young and Hungry TV movie. In theory, the Young and Hungry movie would have served as the series finale for Season 5. It had been planned that the film would follow Gabi, Josh, and their pals throughout their formative years.

The show’s star, Haley Joel Osment, tweeted the news that Freeform had also scrapped the feature. The final shocking moment of the fifth season will, in a word, be left unsettled. Fans believe the film’s original plot called for a wedding between Gabi and Josh.

Netflix has not pulled the show despite many requests from fans. While Netflix has been instrumental in keeping several of our favourite shows on the air, including Lucifer and Arrested Development, it was unable to do so in this case. The fifth season debuted on June 20, 2018, and concluded on July 25, 2018. We also witness Josh reserving an upscale restaurant for Gabi’s birthday dinner. Gabi sees the ring and assumes Josh is preparing to propose after seeing it on the table.
