Season 5 of Ozark has been cancelled, according to its current status as an exhibition.
Is Ozark’s Season 4, Its Final Season?
Season 5 of Ozark has been cancelled, which is a disappointment to the show’s fans. As of June 2020, it was announced that season 4 will be the show’s final season, and Netflix confirmed that the series will come to a close following its fourth season.
That implies that the final seven episodes of Ozark will premiere on April 29, and hopefully, they’ll be excellent. No matter how well-received the show is, there are some episodes that might be either good or bad.
The first half of Ozark season 4 is a bit of a letdown when compared to the finale, but episode 7 really picks things back up. While it looks like the Byrdes will not be able to get out of this predicament, we won’t know for sure until season 4 part 2 is released.
Unfortunately, Ozark will end with season 4, but they aren’t overstaying their welcome in the rating department. Our hopes are pinned on the show’s last episode, which we know will be unforgettable (and for good reason). Season 4 Part 2 is now available on Netflix Life, so be sure to check back.
Recap of Ozark Season 4 Finale
Ruth opens the final episode by covering the construction site funeral for Nelson, the cartel member Rachel killed the night before. She sees Wyatt standing across the room from her, his face unadorned.
Although she keeps seeing Wyatt as a foreshadowing of what is to come, it looks like seeing him soothes her. He appears at the construction site and threatens Ruth with her life by revealing to Camila that she was the one responsible for Javi’s death. What an irony, Marty’s threat.
To show Camila the money accounts she now has access to, Marty first meets her in person. He also confirms that the FBI has cleared Omar’s decision to leave the country.
According to him, it would be “just fate” if Omar were to be assassinated while in transit, giving her entire control of the cartel. Camila wants to meet with the FBI before putting the plan into effect.
Wendy pays Ruth(Julia Garner) a visit to the psychiatric hospital where she is being treated. There are no guarantees Wendy will be able to keep her kids, but she must promise to take care of them if she does her part. Wendy gives her confidence. If she’d just left Ben in the psychiatric hospital, Ruth says, he’d still be alive.
A drink will be on the house for the two of them, so Ruth pays a visit. Ruth and Ben’s romance quickly comes up in the conversation. Ruth tries to acclimatise Nathan by telling him that he conquered Wendy by acquiring Charlotte and Jonah.
Afterwards, she inquires about Nathan’s plans for Charlotte and Jonah if they turn out to be mini-Wendy and mini-Marty. Seeing as Nathan doesn’t seem to care about the kids.
Ozark: The Fourth Season Review
She doesn’t think he’s concerned about them at all. When Nathan refuses to tell Jonah and Charlotte that they will not be following him, Ruth threatens him with a revolver. There is a commotion in the room when Charlotte and Jonah enter.
So Charlotte and Jonah head to Wendy’s mental facility for a visit. It is Wendy’s admission that her actions have resulted in Ben’s death and that she has been trying to control both of them.
She promises that she will not ensnare them and that they will be free to do as they like. Parents and children have agreed that the children will remain at home. Regardless of whether Wendy is telling the truth or not, for the youngsters, having the freedom to think and act on their own is probably all they’ve ever wanted.
With her children’s encouragement, Wendy persuades them to drive back home together as a family, listening to soulful music and reliving the beginning of the season 4 scenario. The reunion of Wendy and Marty is a welcome one, as they talk about the progress they’ve made in their plans.
This is Wendy’s final warning to her children before they must pack up and leave for their new home in just 48 hours. Because of Marty’s lapse in attention, the car is nearly knocked off the road and onto the shoulder.
